The contest is a great opportunity for university students to put their passions to the test. And it's what hundreds of technologists at Two Sigma do every day.

The ICPC, affiliated with the ICPC Foundation and operating under the auspices of ACM, brings together thousands of university students from around the world, working in teams to solve complex coding problems.

We built our business on the foundation of team-based problem solving, tackling some of the biggest computer engineering and mathematics challenges found anywhere. Two Sigma is in the top 1% of thousands of companies worldwide employing ICPC World Finalists.  ICPC Alumni include hundreds of founders, presidents, CEOs, and thousands of top scientists, software engineers, developers, and academics.  We look forward to tracking the contest in the coming weeks and celebrating with the winners at Peking University in Beijing next year.

In addition to simply being fun and challenging, games and contests are great ways for Two Sigma to identify and nurture talent. Our home-grown programming contest, Halite, is in its second year. During the contest, individual players inside and outside Two Sigma code AI bots in the language of their choice that compete head-to-head against other players around the world. Halite II launches on October 23rd, 2017 and concludes on January 22nd, 2018.
